The expanded clay Plagron can be used for many types of indoor and outdoor cultivation : hydroponics , aeroponics and soil .

Normally the expanded clay is mixed into the soil and on the bottom of the vessel to avoid water stagnation and to make the soil more oxygenated and lightweight.
The roots and the main beneficiaries will be able to branch out more into the substrate.
