Heat guards

Heat guards are used as a buffer, placed on top of a heat mat in order to prevent overheating the product sitting on top, e.g. a grow kit. Not using a heat guard can risk overheating the substrate or creating hotspots which in turn can reduce mycelium growth and increase the risk of contamination.
